Rob & Lauren’s Wedding…
by nealie on Aug.20, 2009, under Weddings
Working with Rob & Lauren for their wedding day was just pure fun. They are two of the nicest people I have ever met, and I truly mean that. Their beautiful wedding was held in Castle Rock at Plum Creek, where Alise and her staff do an amazing job taking care of their couples. Congrats Rob & Lauren!
A beautiful bride…

We take a lot of great photos brides on their wedding day, but I can’t talk enough about the importance of scheduling a bridal portrait session before or after the big day. It is a custom session centered all around YOU! You can even use some of your favorites for large bridal portrait prints to display at your wedding reception. On your wedding day, as much as we would love to have two hours with you taking all kinds of gorgeous pictures, that just isn’t going to happen!! Here are some shots from a recent bridal session I did with Charlsie…

Think of your bridal portrait session as a “dress-rehearsal” for your wedding! Call to schedule yours today & get a free mini book of all your pictures to show off or give to your hubby on wedding day!
Greg & Summer’s Wedding…
by nealie on Aug.04, 2009, under Weddings
Working with Greg and Summer for their engagement pictures was a blast…but their wedding day…now that was just straight up AWESOME! These two are some of the coolest people we have worked with. How many brides dance with their dad in the doorway before they walk down the aisle? How many couples break out a flask with whiskey in it and take a shot before the vows?

Seriously?? Too funny!

Ok, we did some serious shots too…

Studs…

This is GORGEOUS…

BTW…the owners and staff at Mount Vernon Event Center in Golden went above and beyond, making everyone happy. It was a great place to photograph.
Congrats, Greg and Summer. Thanks for sharing your day with us and for doing shots with us at the end of the night! We can’t wait to be your “lifelong photographers!!!”
Paul & Kymberlie’s Wedding…
by nealie on Jul.27, 2009, under Weddings
Rain, rain go away!! I don’t know what is going on this wedding season, but Saturdays should not include rain! I photographed Paul & Kymberlie’s wedding on July 4th at The Embassy Suites in the Tech Center. While they had a gorgeous setting picked for their outdoor wedding, the rain just did not cooperate, so it was moved indoors. Kymberlie is seriously one of the nicest girls in the WORLD & had such a great attitude about everything!! We did manage to get a little time outside after the ceremony to do some pictures…

This flower had a light behind it in their room, and I thought it looked cool!

One of my fave’s from the day…

Congrats, Paul & Kymberlie…thanks so much for having Candid be a part of your day!

I had an action packed family shoot last week with the Bailey Family! Their two kids are extremely busy and believe me, I was dripping with sweat after their session. We had fun walking around the park and getting some very candid shots of them playing…

Thanks guys!!! I had fun seeing you all and can’t wait for our next adventure!
Jeramie & Leah’s Wedding…
by nealie on Jun.28, 2009, under Weddings
Jeramie & Leah picked a breathtaking location for their wedding ceremony…The Maroon Bells in Aspen, honestly one of the most beautiful settings we have ever seen. Leah’s rush of emotions as she walked up the aisle had us all in tears. Jon and I were keeping our fingers crossed all morning that the rain would hold off, and we lucked out! Within five minutes after finishing up the pictures, the rain started up. Congratulations, Jeramie & Leah…we had a great time with you and your family. Have an awesome honeymoon!!

Rick & Johanna’s Wedding at DU
by nealie on Apr.02, 2009, under Weddings
When I first met Rick & Johanna, I knew they were special. They were so kind and easy to talk with at our first meeting. Then we hung out for their engagement session, and they were so funny and great to work with. Last weekend Jon and I went to their wedding at DU. It was held in the School of Hotel, Restaurant & Tourism Management, a gorgeous building on campus, where Patty and her amazing staff of students kept everything running smoothly from beginning to end. It was at the reception where we really got to witness some of the most memorable toasts we have ever heard at a wedding. Rick’s friends really wore their hearts on their sleeves, and it was awesome to hear just how much he and Johanna mean to everyone in their circle of friends.
Then, Johanna lets me know that she is donating her wedding dress to a bride who just needs a break in life. She put an ad on Craigslist and then got contacted by 9News to do a story about her willingness to give something so special to a bride in need. I thought to myself after I read the ad…”Can these two get ANY cooler???”

Rick & Jo…thank you so much. Thank you for inspiring me and so many other people to give and to do nice things for other people. You have hearts of gold, and we are lucky to have been chosen by you to photograph your wedding day.
Vendor Spotlight…Sapphire Celebrations
by nealie on Mar.19, 2009, under Weddings
I had the opportunity to have lunch with Angie, a local wedding planner who owns Sapphire Celebrations, this week. They offer extensive wedding planning and packages, including full-service and day-of service. Working together with their brides, they help make visions a reality. I would highly recommend Sapphire Celebrations to any bride who wants top-notch wedding planning. We are so excited to work with them in the future!

Every time we have a booth at the Rocky Mountain Bridal Show, we give away something cool. Our last giveaway was 50% off the wedding collection of the winner’s choice. You can imagine how pumped Chris & Becca were to win! Their gorgeous ceremony was held at Three Trees Chapel, a quaint & elegant setting for a ceremony. It was so special for me to be a part of not only their vows, but their son Dominic’s dedication. Congratulations Chris & Becca! It was worth the wait!!!
Here are some of the standouts…

This picture makes me laugh out loud. What a beautiful baby!

Be sure to check us out in booth #169 at the Rocky Mountain Bridal Show on April 26th. You never know…you might be the next big winner!!!
Destination…Cabo!!!
by nealie on Nov.18, 2008, under Weddings
How lucky are we to be able to see the world through our photography career? Jon and I went to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, with Keith & April for their destination wedding. From day one, they made us feel so comfortable and a part of the group. One of the coolest things about destinations is that we are with everyone for 4 days, so we get to know everyone, which makes for better pictures! There were so many beautiful pictures, it was hard to choose my faves. Let’s start with Keith seeing April for the first time…

This is one of the coolest pictures I have EVER taken, in my humble opinion!!!

OMG!!! This picture cracks me up. Keith was holding April’s flowers, and I couldn’t resist doing the classic picture that we usually reserve for the bride!!!

We took so many pictures of Mexico and the surroundings…including the catamaran ride we all took out into the ocean for a snorkeling excursion. What a day to remember!

LOVE IT!!!!

“We are family!!!!”
Keith & April, thank you soooooooooo much for sharing your wedding, friends, and family with us. We cannot express into words how much your friendship means to us! We love you guys!!!!
